And you can always expect them to be quality. Once you get deep enough into the subscription and have all the plugins worked into your daily routine you start forgetting that youre on a subscription service then one day, wham, a new plugin comes out and its like a nice little present you never expected.
#Pro opinions on slate vcc full#
Now the question whether to sell VCC and S-Gear and just go full on sub! Tomorrow I might though, and they are there when if I need them. Today I don't really have a use for those FG Blue comps. With the bundle, just having everything is a real treat. I've sold and bought plenty of plugins over the years, and each sale is a loss. I've also learned over the years that what I need and want changes over time. I think one of my favorite things about it is the part where I'm just not spending any time thinking about what I need or want. Slate might have won me over to this subscription thing.

I also felt like "how many compressors does one need?", but they all do sound a little different, and it can be great to just A/B/C/D some different plugs on a source and choose what sounds best on that particular track on that particular day. But the more I mess around with it, the more I really do like it, even better than the Valhalla stuff I own. At first look I swore I didn't need LX480 or want it. It's actually pretty fun to have that bucket of tools at your disposal. The more I use the Everything Bundle the more I'm thinking I might stay with it, even though logic is telling me to just buy what I want/need and save money in the long run. I admit to not having a chance to dig into it that hard yet though. I also find Relab LX480 a bit too control heavy for my tastes. I already use FabFilter stuff for DIY mastering tasks, so FG-X really isn't my cup of tea. One thing I've noticed is that there's going to be a few bundle plugins that I may not want.
#Pro opinions on slate vcc trial#
I'm currently doing one month of Everything Bundle to get a nice long trial of everything. I definitely want VMR and I like VTM a lot. My situation is, I own VCC and Scuffham S-Gear. What appeals to you despite the fact that it actually costs more money long term (in most cases)?

I'm particularly interested in those people that used to own some perpetuals but decided to sell them off and go the subscription route. * actual money spent could and will probably be more over time. * always getting new plugins without any extra cash out. No need to decide what you want now or in the future. I can see advantages to both, and I'm currently deciding which way to go. Wondering everyone's thoughts on Slate's Everything Bundle vs perpetual licenses.
